Branch of JSC "National center for professional development “Orleu" in Astana welcomed visitors from the Republic of Tatarstan

November 9th, 2015 in the framework of the official visit of the delegation executives of the education system of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Education and Science Fattakhov Engel Navapovich visited Branch of JSC "National center for professional development “Orleu" in Astana. Chairman of the JSC “NCPD "Orleu" Akhmetova Gulnas Kenzhetaevna and director of branch in Astana Sainova Lyudmilla Alexandrovna acquainted the guests with the history of "Orleu", its activities and innovative areas of modern professional development system in Kazakhstan.

A biology teacher Dyakina E.V. entered the top ten of the best teachers the Republic of Kazakhstan

A biology teacher of school № 69 Elena Dyakina studying English and participating in the project CLIL (method of integrated teaching of language and subject) of Almaty city professional development institute entered the top ten of the best teachers of Kazakhstan on the TEA competition program of the US Embassy. She is currently enrolled in the two-month training courses at the University of Montana. The course program includes the study of global trends generally accepted of teaching methods, general pedagogy, and emphasizes the use of information and communication technologies in the educational process.

The branch office of "NCPD" Orleu" in Almaty city received a grant from RELO

The branch office of "NCPD" Orleu" in Almaty city received a grant from the Regional English Language Office for a teacher from the US University to visit Almaty to conduct seminars and training courses for English teachers. A pilot course on the introduction of innovative methods of teaching English in secondary schools and high schools was held from August 3 to 10. Former lecturer at the University of Michigan, author of textbooks Nancy Aklis, PhD, who currently works at the Department of Education of the US government, discussed with the students the peculiarities of the development of critical thinking and conducted a workshop on different types of questions.

 JSC NCPD «Өрлеу» & OCSE

Within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation on the development of multicultural and multilingual education, signed between the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities and National Center for Professional Development “Orleu a seminar-training on "Content and Language Integrated Learning: features, benefits, methods and techniques of implementation was held.  

The purpose of the seminar – to develop expertise in integrated teaching of content and language and to further promote multilingual education in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Participants of the seminar-training were teacher trainers from 17 branches of National Center for Professional

Development “Orleu” as well as methodists, deputy directors and schoolteachers, who integrate multilingual education in professional practiceTotal number of participants – 30. 

During the 5-day training workshop, participants have gained a holistic understanding of the methodology of content and language integrated learning, its forms and methods of application, new knowledge to support students in mastering subject content and developing language skills.

By the end of the training seminar a meeting was held between representatives of the OSCE and the First Deputy Chairman of JSC "NCPD "Orleu Mr. Karayev and Deputy Chairman of JSC "NCPD "Orleu" Mr. Baidurin,  objectives of further cooperation were discussed. 

JSC NCPD «Өрлеу» & Graffity University

On 16th of April a meeting was held between members of the Board of JSC “National Center for Professional Development “Orleu” and representatives from Griffith University, Regional manager Anthony Bradley and International Education consultant Veronika Kustenko. 

JSC “National Center for Professional Development “Orleu” and Griffith University worked together to organize and deliver professional development courses for Orleu teaching staff in Australia in the framework of the Memorandum of understanding signed in 2013. 

Issues discussed during the meeting included the role of multi-level class schools in modern educational environment of two countries and continuous professional development of rural teachers. Educational practices implemented in multi-level class schools in Australia are of high interest for the Republic of Kazakhstan due to similar demographic situation.

The development of new educational methods based on Information and communication technologies, distance learning technologies has a great impact on the practice of teachers of multi-level class schools. This is why considerable attention was paid to in-service teacher training and new teaching skills.  

By the end of the meeting it was decided to continue to work together in this direction, conduct baseline studies, organize a teleconference for academic staff of Australia and Kazakhstan, as well as to develop educational programme for teachers of multi-level classes.  

JSC NCPD «Өрлеу» & British Council

August 25, 2014 – The project “E-learning for Teachers of English”

The project is aimed to assist teachers with learning of new skills and building knowledge of the application of electronic resources in their practice using the resources provided by the British Council in Kazakhstan. The resources are designed to equip students with speaking, reading, writing and listening skills. 

In the course of the project the project team has researched, analyzed and selected necessary electronic resources in accordance with curriculum, developed by the National Academy of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for learners of English from Grade 1 to 11.  A textbook based on the project was released containing a program, instructions with links to online resources and recommendations for registration on the website and the use of the resources in the classroom (Digital Resources for Learners of  1-11 Grades). 


JSC NCPD «Өрлеу» & Korea Soongsil Cyber University

    In the period from 13 to 23 May 2014, 55 employees of the branches of JSC "NCPD “Orleu" have completed the professional development course «Smart Learning Programme for Specialists of the Republic of Kazakhstan », organized by Korea Soongsil Cyber ​​University. International Cooperation Division of JSC “NCPD “Orleu” assisted with the organization of the course, the purpose of which was to enhance the knowledge of Kazakhstani educators in the field of Smart-education.


    The following areas were covered during the course:


    • The Development of the Korean education system

    • Study of experience in teacher training using Smart-systems

    • Study of hardware and technology for content development in Smart-learning

At the end of the program, participants received certificates


From 25 to 29 January, 2013 JSC “NCPD “Orleu” jointly with RIPKSO was organized an international workshop on theme “Trends of e-Learning”. The course was led by Mr. Han Tae In, professor of National Open University of Korea, expert of Korean Standard on e-Learning.

February 5, 2013 started its work Republican workshop “Kazakhstani trainer: experience, partnership and prospects”, in a preparation of which was involved all staff of department.

From 14 to 16 February jointly with British Council were organized courses on project “Digital technologies in English language learning”. During the March were conducted courses in 7 regions of Kazakhstan by specialist of British Council.

December 10, 2012 was sent a delegation of employers of JSC “NCPD”Orleu” and its affiliates on a course of professional development on a e-Learning program to the Republic of South Korea. Department conducted meticulous work on search of foreign organizations, dealing with professional development on course of e-Learning. Thus, was signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Service agreement with KERIS (Korean Education Research Information Services) and Seoul Cyber University.

Was made a work to provide all necessary procedures for this foreign business trip (visas, air tickets, materials, etc.). Upon arrival the delegation brought materials on a e-Learning course, that subsequently was translated to Russian by department, for future reference and use of our teachers


December 5, 2012 was sent a delegation of leaders of JSC “NCPD “Orleu” and its affiliates to the Republic of Singapore by the invitation of the Educare Company. In a duration of 10 days was held a seminar on theme: “new methods of learning in a secondary schools”. Department was made a work on search of foreign organizations, dealing with professional development of leaders in education, as well as signing with them of memorandum of understanding and service agreement.


From October 2012 the department of international cooperation of JSC “National Center for professional development “Orleu” for the first time implemented the work on introduction of foreign trainers-consultants to work on three-month courses of professional development. In the course of this project, the department worked on recruitment of 54 foreign experts, preparation of visa and visa support, distribution of lectors for 17 affiliates of Center and supervising of their work in affiliates (list of lectors attached).

Also from October 2012 was made a work on mending of partnerships with a range of international organizations and companies, both state and private, in a field of education, particularly professional development of teachers.
