History of the branch
Annually in IPD of Astana city are trained more than 2,5 thousand of pedagogical staff of education organizations.
From 2010 in order to implement program “Balapan”, indicated in the Letter of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan “ New decade – new economic growth – new opportunities of Kazakhstan”, IPD PS of Astana designed a module program for professional development of pedagogic staff of pre-school education organizations. In a period of 2011 and 2012 the course in this field were passed by 2675 teachers.
From 2012 IPD PS of Astana provides professional development of secondary schools teachers on program of Autonomous Education Organization “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” of third (basic) level. In 2012 300 teachers have been trained.
From 2012 IPD PD of Astana conducts professional development of teachers on updated programs using innovational technologies.

IPD PS of Astana consists of 3 faculties, 6 departments, 1 governance and library.
Faculties: Faculty of Psychological and Pedagogical Support of professional development of teachers, Faculty of Innovational Technologies and Teaching Methodics of natural sciences disciplines, Faculty of Pre-school and Primary Education.
Departments: academic department, department of monitoring and analysis, department of public relations and publishing activity, department of corporate development, financial department, technical department.
Mission of IPD PS of Astana - system professional development of pedagogical staff.
Faculties carry out organizational, substantial, informational, scientific and methodical support of formation process of professional competency of capital’s teachers.
Psycho-pedagogical conditions was created for professional development for teachers of humanitarian subjects, forming of professional competency of teachers of natural-mathematical subjects, development of professional skills of teachers at pre-school education organizations by using innovational technologies.
In IPD PS of Astana from 2003 is published republican informational and methodical journal “Bilimdegi zhanalyktar” and application to it.
Faculty of Innovational Technologies and Teaching Methodics of natural sciences disciplines develops and implements programs for improvement teachers professional competency in a field of use of ICT in teaching and learning, criteria evaluation, development of functional literacy of learners, methodical support and introduction of 12 years school by State Obligatory for all Education Standard.
Faculty of Psychological and Pedagogical Support of professional development of teacher provides improvement of professional growth of teachers in issues of multilingual education introduction, improvement of learning methodics of language disciplines, organization of studying in remedial classes, gender education.
Faculty of Pre-school and Primary Education develops and implements study programs for professional development of teachers of pre-school and primary level of education on introduction of inclusive education, methodics of M.Montessori. Faculty implements scientific and methodical support of professional activity, realization of each teacher’s ability.
