New challenges of education in the XXI century in the dialogue between Orleu and teachers of Estonia

From May 11 to 12, 2022, the faculty of Tallinn University of Estonia held and organized an online seminar on the topic “Professional development of teachers: from planning educational programs to changes in classroom practice” for employees of the National Center for Advanced Training “Orleu”. More than 160 people took part in the online seminar.

The purpose of the online seminar is to search for new ideas and approaches to the development of the education system. The format of the seminar: discussion platforms, during which they discussed the problems of transition from the traditional orientation of education to the formation of subject knowledge and skills to the development of key competencies of the XXI century – cognitive, socio-emotional and digital.

Leading researchers and experts in the field of education in Estonia (M. Heidmetis, Ph.D., M. Erss, Ph.D., researcher in the field of educational robotics Ya. Leoste) shared their experience:

– integration of 21st century competencies into national educational standards and curricula;

– formation of soft skill (“soft skills”);

– training teachers to work with the competencies of the 21st century.

– Key topics within the online seminar: “Psychology of modern education”, “Andragogy: principles of practical training for adults”, “The principle of developing curricula for advanced training courses based on reverse design”, “Support for social interaction in hybrid learning”, “Educational innovations”.

The online seminar contributed to the exchange of scientific and practical results on the introduction of innovations in education, practical experience in designing and implementing innovative learning models and strengthening cooperation between Kazakh and Estonian teachers.
