On January 13, 2022, the Karaganda branch of “Orleu” held a practical session for teachers of the Kazakh language and literature on the topic “Preparing for PISA-2021. Reading Literacy.
The purpose of the session is post-course support and dissemination of the best practices of teachers of the Kazakh language and literature at the stage of preparation for the international study PISA-2022.
In the course of the work, attention was focused on the expected results of participation in the international PISA study and the content of reading literacy of 15-year-old Kazakhstani schoolchildren in order to improve its level and quality.
Session moderator Meruert Altynbekovna Mukusheva, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Methodology and Pedagogical Innovations of the branch, demonstrated active reading methods and types of tasks for working with text, suggested ways to achieve learning goals while developing reading literacy among students.
The reflection of the seminar participants showed the importance of the presented experience and identified new ways to develop their own practice.
